“Dance of the Days”

​

The light and the shadow dance,

Time past and time future,

Echoes in the memory.

​

Boundless parting and reunion in a city.

One day, when I fly far far away, will I remember this light,

I look forward a little to see you again.

​

When the meanings have dissolved with time, let me do something for you too,

As if you let me see the light,

I will no longer hide, no longer flee.

A moment of time is eternity,

A train that is heading to the future.

Yrellag Gallery is pleased to present a duo exhibition - "Dance of the Days", by two emerging artists Hui Wing and Joseph Greyling. This exhibition features a series of paintings, photographs, and soft sculptures to create a dialogue about the fleeting moments in the city.

 

Hui and Greyling constructed their memory of time, place and human emotion with multimedia to express their understanding of the passage of time and the meaning of life, of how we can pray for the days in our hearts.

Dance of the Days will run from 29 November to 18 December 2022. An opening reception will be held at the gallery from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on 3 December 2022. The artists will be present at the opening.

《日子之舞》

​

光影在晃動，時間相對了存在;

過去與未來的時間，

唯在記憶裡迴響。

​

旅居的人、 城市的人，

無邊的離散與聚合。

有一天若我要飛到很遠的地方，

是否仍記住這光亮，

我微微盼望，揮舞向前，

再說一次 想念的道別，

期待與你重逢。

​

當時光將層層覆蓋，

讓我也為你做點什麼，

就像你讓我看見的光亮，

將不再遮蔽 、不再逃避，

那些話我從沒對你說過，

片刻凝望，就是永恆;

陌生的列車，駛向未來。

 

Yrellag Gallery 欣然呈獻《日子之舞》，本次展覽是由兩位香港藝術學院學生 許穎 和 Joseph Greyling 組成的雙人展覽，展出二人對時間，城市的對話。二人作品結合不同媒介承載對時間、地方、人物，以及與之相扣的記憶，進行感知的描繪與呈現，藉着寄語時間的流逝與生命之輕重，以及內心如何與日子祝禱。

本展將於 2022 年 12 月 3 日下午 5 時至晚上 8 時舉行開幕酒會，展期由 2022 年 11 月 29 日至2022 年 12 月 18 日。藝術家將會出席開幕禮。
